Scope and Content
Philip Gidley King, (1817-1904), in his later years published in 1891, “Comments on Cook’s Log (H.M.S. Endeavour, 1770) with extracts, charts and sketches”.

This volume includes correspondence and acknowledgment letters from various instiututions that received his book “Comments on Cook’s Log ….”. Institutions include the Free Public Library of NSW (p.16), Royal Society of NSW (p. 19), Royal Geographical Society of Australasia (p. 31).

This item has an Alfred Lee Bookplate. It is therefore probably the copy that P.G. King sent to Alfred Lee. (see pp. 37-8)
