  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Henry Vere Barclay (1845-1917), explorer and surveyor, led a Commonwealth Government-funded survey party to the Northern Territory in 1911-1912. The expedition departed Melbourne on 18 January 1911 and reached Alice Springs on 24 March. The party left there on 25 April heading west through the MacDonnell Ranges, then north-west to Borroloola.
