  In Where you from Ernie?, Myra-Tyne Lowe assisted her younger sisters to tell a story of country based on their dingo Ernie, as a way to involve the youngest family members in her project and represent their viewpoint.
• Scope and Content
  Comprises two texts illustrated with photographs, formatted with intention to be published late 2008 by Indij Readers (see letter of endorsement accompanying the manuscripts); "one for younger children [Where you from Ernie?] and another for upper primary to junior high school [Dunghutti Country]" (p.5):

  Edited manuscripts were submitted to Indij Readers (Rockdale, NSW), "a community based company formed in 2002, which develops and publishes contemporary, Indigenous reading material for students learning to read and write" (p.11). "I was greatly assisted and supported by the Board of Indij Readers, being in receipt of guidance through their developing Community Writers Kit and three successful series of books written in similar context, by undiscovered Aboriginal authors and illustrators" (p.5)
