  • General note

    The artist was a grandfather of Sir William Dixson. The mill was better known as Craigend Mill; it was also known as Fiddon's and later as Jenkin's (Reference: Journal of R.A.H.S., v.1 p.104). No listing for Lethbridge was located in directories; the residence could be Craigend (compared with R. Russell's sketch from Botany Road, 1837)
