  • General note

    Face of the original seal is engraved with Royal Crest surmounting a view of the Pitcairn Islanders arriving on Norfolk Island in 1856. Latin inscription around rim of seal reads 'Victoria Dei Gratia Britanniar Reg. F.D. Norfolk Island.'

    The seal was used in connection with land grants and other official documents until the administration of the Island was taken over by the Federal Government in 1914.

    Made by Edgar Kemp (Engravers) Pty. Ltd. 49 Clarence Street, Sydney at a cost of 7/6 each. September 1961.
