  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Green Games Watch 2000 was established in 1995 as the community's "environmental watchdog" for the Sydney Olympics. It was made up of five non-government agencies: the Australian Conservation Foundation, National Parks Association, National Toxics Network, Nature Conservation Council of New South Wales and Total Environment Centre. It provided proposals for government and industry on protecting the natural environment and developing the built environment in a manner consistent with ecologically sustainable develoment, and ran a program of community participation and consultation.
