  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Richard Allen and Karen Pearlman are co-artistic directors of That Was Fast, a dance company established in 1985 which produces poetry, dance, theatre, film and video. Their work combines Richard Allen's poetry with dance performances.

    They also founded The Physical TV Company which produces and distributes dance film, screendance, video dance as well as music videos, musicals, new and transmedia projects. In 2007 the company produced Thursday's Fictions, a dance, fantasy film written by Allen and Pearlman.
