The du Boise family were a prominent family who lived in Hunters Hill

This collection largely comprises glass negatives of Hunters Hill, Woolwich and district, including residences and gardens, surrounding rivers, creeks and landscapes, industrial sites, ferries, yachts, boats and bridges. It also includes portraits taken in gardens in Hunter's Hill, as well as photographs of picnics and camping in the surrounding areas.

There are some similar subjects and settings between half plates and quarter plates.

Some similar subjects and settings have been identified in both sizes and these have been indicated at the end of each box description. ¶Boxes 21-26 include quarter plate negatives that were originally housed in labelled boxes. These labels have been described where possible and kept with each box. Other boxes have been arranged by subject and setting.
