    William Raeburn Copeland was born in approximately 1852 and in 1882 migrated from Glasgow to Australia onboard the steamer ‘Scotland’. He died in Katoomba in 1928.

  • Scope and Content
    ITEM 01
    1 leather-bound, hand-written diary. Entries are written in ink, with the dates written above each entry in pencil. Author describes his journey sailing from Glasgow to Queensland onboard the Scotland. Entries written in pencil and gone over in ink.

    ITEM 02
    1 postcard, displaying a colour drawing of a flower fairy dressed in pink and green, with a petal hat and a leaf umbrella.

    ITEM 03
    Photocopy of Item 01. Loose A4-sized pages capturing the written content as well as the shape of the leather binding. The text written in pencil is visible on some of the pages.
