William Cape (1773-1847), schoolmaster, emigrated to Australia in 1821. He was a pioneer settler of the Wyong district, N.S.W. His eldest son, William Timothy Cape (1806-1863), became a schoolmaster and leading colonial educator. Rollo Albert Cape was a grandson of William Cape. - Scope and ContentFamily papers, including correspondence, are in Box 1 and a family bible comprises the contents of Box 2.
