Information transferred from pictures card catalogue as part of the eRecords Project, 2009-2010

These two ambrotypes were, when received, in a box labelled Josiah Betts, but do not appear to be of the same person. There is a negative of a copy of the larger one (in box of negatives acquired at the same time - in 'Glass Negs (Copies) 7') in a folder labelled Matthew Betts and in another folder a negative of a third person labelled Josiah. Presumably the negatives were mixed and the label on the larger ambrotype is accurate. Prints of these negatives are located in the Small Picture File.
