ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The Marionette Theatre of Australia was established in 1965 under the direction of the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust with Peter Scrivner as co founder and artistic director. The aims and objectives were to establish a permanent professional company in the field of children's theatre, to present Peter Scriven's "Tintookie" productions, to arrange national and international tours and to assist in the development of puppet groups in Australia.
