Mr Kilbourne identified the man eighth from the left in the second row from the back as Arthur Vernon, Secretary of the United Labourers' Protective Society. This would have been before 1916 when Mr Kelbourne became associated with the Trades Union movement in Sydney. He suggested the photograph might have been taken at Manly.
