  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Wallace Palfrey Young (? - 1989) of Drummoyne, was a press photographer in the 1920 and 1930s, working for Sam J. Hood, However, he did not enjoy his profession, so later became a dental prosthetist until his retirement in the 1970s. His father Harry Palfrey Young, served on the John William Missionary Ship, and claimed to be a descendent of Edward Young, one of the mutineers on the Bounty in 1789. His Uncle, Prof. Theo Thompson Flynn, was a scientist with Douglas Mawson's Antarctic Expedition in 1909, and father of Tasmanian born Hollywood actor Errol Flynn (1909-1959).
