  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Historian Mr John Earnshaw was in New Guinea from 1926-1928 with Dick Roche. They lived with the natives who were bird-of-paradise hunters and travelled up the Fly River. They were one of group that found the body of German Harry on Deliverance island in 1927. Somerset Maugham had visited German Harry six months earlier and based an article on him.
