  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    George Hobler arrived in Tasmania in 1826 and went to New South Wales in 1836. He took up station properties at Maitland, Patrick's Plains, Namoi River, New England, Goulburn, Darling River and at Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. He was the first man to occupy land in the Lower Darling district.
