    Hogarth, Erichsen and Co., were a small jewellery firm operating at 312 George Street, Sydney.
  • Scope and Content
    Mounted colour photograph of a brooch, ca. 1860. Gold with gold nugget and milky quartz. Attributed to Hogarth, Erichsen and Co., Sydney, Australia.

    It depicts a bouquet of native flora as a wearable item. It shows native per, tree fern and Banksia tied at the stems by a fillet and set with a gold nugget naturally occurring in milky quartz. (Source: Mitchell file).
