    The papers were intended to be published and a foreword was prepared by Vivian R de Vaux Voss, 10 Feb 1952

    Morey owned the cattle and sheep stations at Neston, Gundaroo, NSW, 1843-1849, Euston on the Murray, NSW, 1846-1861, Tintanallogy on the Darling, NSW, 1850-1852 and Euston on the Darling Downs, Queensland 1862-1869. Among his close friends were T S Mort and James Tyson. From 1869-1901 he was a police magistrate in Queensland
  • Scope and Content
    Includes a letter, 4 January 1893 written by E Morey for the information of his sons after his death, his reminiscences as a pioneer in New South Wales and Queensland, 1842-1906. His reminiscences cover his travels through New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, New Zealand and a voyage back to England on the Royal Charter, 1858. He discusses prices, social life and conditions in i.a. Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide; the Australian aborigine and navigation on the Murray River
