    1 album (380 photographs and approx. 203 postcards) - 55 x 39 cm.
  • Collection history
    The album was begun by an acquaintance of the donor's father, who worked in Lands Department and was a keen photographer. To this album were added postcards of cats collected by the donor's grandmother and English postcards from his father, ca. 1914-1915. The donor's mother came from England in 1919. The donor extracted from the album photos re rowing clubs, which he presented to the Maritime Museum. The donor did not know the name of the Lands Department man who took the photos. Source: ML file

    Approx. 200 loose postcards, mostly addressed to Miss Lucy Talbot, Stockport, England, and postmarked between 1907 and 1920. Predominantly overseas views, cats and some Australian views, including Minnehaha Falls, Katoomba, Narrabeen. One postcard print of two men and two women in a street, annotated on verso: "Luita King, Alfred King, Adelaide - her husband, W. T. Johnson, c.1938".
