  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Joan Fletcher, 1917-2007, studied music at the Sydney Conservatorium after World War II under the Commonwealth Repatriation Training Scheme, gaining her A.Mus.A. in piano. She taught piano both privately and in schools on Sydney's northern beaches in the Manly area. She was secretary to the Manly Music Society and was involved in organising recitals locally for many years.

    1. 'Australia' / words and music by Joan Fletcher, 1966. Music manuscript for voice and piano, 5 pages (page 1 is a photocopy). Pages 1-3 appear to be in the hand of a copyist, page 4 is probably in the hand of the composer, and page 5 is in the hand of another copyist.
