  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The Bong Bong Picnic Race Club held its first meeting in 1886 in the grounds of Throsby Park, near Moss Vale. For many years it has been one of the best known and most successful rural race clubs in Australia. This is despite going into liquidation in 1939, and being abandoned in the 1980's for a number of years because of issues of crowd control.
