    Barker College was founded at Kurrajong Heights N.S.W. in 1890 by Reverend Henry Plume, and moved to Hornsby in 1896. In 1905 it passed to W. C. Carter, and in 1918 became a corporate school under the care of the Church of England. W. C. Carter retired as headmaster in 1929
