  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Thomas Parnell, landowner at Richmond, N.S.W. and in the Hunter River District, was the father of 14 children, among them Edward, Thomas Liverpool, Charles and Matthew James Parnell. Thomas Liverpool was the son of Thomas Parnell and Sarah Thorley, and became executor of the estates of his half brother Charles Thorley and the latter's father Samuel Thorley. One of Thomas Parnell's daughters, Mary Ann, married Joseph Cope of Windsor, N.S.W., and on Cope's death in 1862 Edward Parnell was appointed executor of his estate
