The Society of Australian Cinema Pioneers was founded by Stanley N. Wright on November 29, 1933. The Society is a for not for profit association dedicated to the recognition of people who have worked in the Australian Film Industry for 20 Years or more. It provides long serving members of the Australian Cinema Exhibition, Distribution and Production Industries with means to stay in touch with colleagues and connected to the industry via newsletters and social gatherings.

A leather bound volume containing applications for membership filed in rough alphabetical order. Includes applications from Stewart F. Doyle, Beaumont Smith, Franklyn Barrett, Victor Webb, Wally Sully, Raymond Longford and Dan Carrol. Applications includes details of when and where the applicants started work and how long they had been working in the industry.

A directory of the entire membership register with photocopies of most of the application forms.
