    Alexander Brunton arrived in Port Phillip in 1839, and held a pastoral licence for Howford, near Kilmore. He died October 1840.

    Debit and credit statement of the deceased estate of Alexander Brunton by John Brown, who was probably the executor, he was a builder in Melbourne.

    Work performed and goods bought and sold in connection with the sale of the station, Howford, and the return to England of Miss Brunton.

    b. Building account, 15 June 1840 - 1 January 1843
    Material, labour and other expenses incurred in building the house on the station, and receipts mainly from rent.
