    Major-General William Stewart came to New South Wales in 1825 and was given a grant of land at Mount Pleasant, near Bathurst, where he lived on his retirement from the Army in 1835. After his death in 1854, his son J. H. Stewart succeeded to the property. The Farm daily records are in two sections in different hand writings and were probably made by the overseer.
