    Irene Howe Tucker was originally from Melbourne. She lived for a few years in Adelaide before moving to Sydney. She was involved with local theatre and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society, as well as working on Radio in Brisbane.

    She has written and published a number of compositions and musicals including White Tahitian Moonlight, Magnetic Island, Blue Heaven, Australia!, and Sydney has Everything.
