    Nancy Tuck (b. 1914) grew up in Orange. When she was 14, she moved to Sydney and finished her schooling at Sydney Girls' High. She trained as a nurse and from 1940 to 1946 worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children. After the war she studied music and singing at the Conservatorium of Music and became a singing teacher and then Director of Music at Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney.
