    William Robertson, d. 1932 spent his youth in the Rockhampton district of Queensland where he acquired an intimate knowledge of Aboriginal customs. He was one of the very few white men to go through all bora circle ceremonies and was given the tribal name Brin-ga. During 1920s, he gave a series of broadcasts on Aborigines and in 1928, his Brin-ga's cov-ee [i.e. coo-ee] talks was published, based on the series.
