  • Scope and Content
This project looks at the participation of Indigenous Australians in all the war conflicts from the First Boer War in 1880 to the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as in global peacekeeping missions. Experiences of Indigenous servicemen and their families are explored through community consultation, as well as research into Government policies and whether the contribution of Indigenous veterans has been appropriately acknowledged.

The completed project consists of a display to provide a visual representation of Indigenous servicemen's experiences in, and contribution to, the Australian defence, from the two World Wars to the present day.
