  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Ernest August Christensen, a tramway employee of Marrickville, Sydney, enlisted with the 1st Battalion, 17 Aug. 1914, aged 27. He was wounded at Gallipoli, 29 Apr. 1915 and returned to Australia on the Hororata, July 1915. He re-enlisted on 8 May 1916 with the 5th Divisional Artillery, and embarked from Melbourne on A 29 Suevic, 21 June 1917, serving at the front in France. He returned to Australia on the Benalla, Oct. 1919
