Harry Raymond Evans was born in Tasmania in 1889, in 1916 he enlisted and embarked on the HMAT Vestalia to serve in World War I. On his return he moved to Sydney with his mother, and met his wife May. Harry and May had one son, Donald Jack Evans. Harry worked for the Australian Wool Corporation and travelled the world exporting wool. He died in 1969. - Scope and ContentThree small photograph albums; two scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings, photographs, postcards, invitations etc. relating to Mr and Mrs Hal (Harry) Evans and their son Donald J. Evans; Donald J. Evans speeches at Sydney University Pharmacy Association, 1943 with photographs of D.J. Evans; a copy of "Proud story: the official history of the Australian Comforts Fund by C.O. Badham Jackson".
