    Arthur Edward Matthews, a gunsmith of Battersea, London enlisted with the A.I.F. at Liverpool, N.S.W. aged 24, 3 Jan. 1916. He was wounded in action 20 Apr. 1918 and returned to Australia on the Karoa 28 Mar. 1919
