    The Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) was formed in 1930. It aims to advance architecture, maintain the integrity and standing of the profession, promote the profession's views and encourage the study of architecture.

    Royal Australian Institute of Architects, further records, ca. 1933-ca. 1984, being mainly proceedings of various RAIA committees, and papers related to RAIA architectural awards, ca. 1970-ca. 1984. Includes Sydney architectural photographs, ca. 1970-ca. 1985 by notable Australian photographers including David Moore, Max Dupain, Tom Balfour, Andrew Payne, and John Story. Also includes earlier papers of Adrian Ashton, Managing Editor of Building Publishing Company, including copies of articles and accompanying photographs, ca. 1946-ca. 1956 and a commemorative bronze plaque for the Sulman Award for Architectural Merit 1933.

    REALIA
    Sulman Award for Architectural Merit 1933, being a sculptural, cast bronze disc mounted on timber with engraved metal label that reads: 'Sulman Prize for 1933 awarded to Primary Producers Bank Australia Ltd for alterations to 105 Pitt St. Sydney - Architects: Budden & Mackey recovered by a scrap metal merchant when building was demolished in 1964.' The plaque is a commemorative disc, designed to be fixed on a wall as a memorial.
