- Scope and ContentVolume 2 includes drawings of robins, Lyre birds [lyrebirds], crested wedge bill, coach whip birds, orthonyx spaldingi, wrens, bristle birds, scrub and grass birds, warblers, sericornis, acanthiza, epthianura, larks, finches, pitta, thrush, bower birds, satin bird, cat bird, regent bird, oriole, sphecotheres, chough, crow, honey eaters, wattle bird, Friar bird, bell bird, sun birds, losterops, rifle bird, tree creepers, sittella, and cuckoos. Many plates have more than one drawing on each page. Includes newscutting dated 18 March 1876 about capture of variegated bullfinch.
Each drawing is followed by a page with the scientific name of the bird; with volume and page number.
