    Letters written by William Timothy Cape to ‘Dear Bessie’ dated May 18, 1861 and letter to ‘my dear Theresa’ dated May 23, 1861.

    Letters written by William Frederick Cape (Fred) to his father William Timothy Cape, and his sisters Minnie and Emily, and brothers Henry and Edward. May 1861 to June 1863. Includes handwritten listing of dates by donor.

    Letter to Alfred from Mrs W.F. Cape (Elizabeth) dated June 5, 1871 excusing Fred from the Cape Commemoration Dinner, together with menu and envelope; St. John’s College, University of Sydney, lecture timetable for 1874; letter from Mr E.     12 bookplates for William Timothy Cape and 3 bookplates for Alfred John Cape. Bookplate depicts a Coat of Arms of a lion rampant between three escallops, a sword and a branch of oak crossing each other in saltire. Motto, ‘Prodesse quam conspici’ (To accomplish rather than to be conspicuous).
