These items were originally available in the Mitchell Library Reading Room. The Self Indexing File (commonly known as the `Small Pictures File') was established in 1945. In 2013 the files were withdrawn from the reading room and rearranged ready for further cataloguing and targeted digitisation as part of the eRecords project.
