Two typescript copies of Pierre Bernard Milius' Voyage aux Terres Australes, 1801-1804.

On 19 October 1800, Nicolas Baudin left France in the Géographe and the Naturaliste on a scientific expedition to survey the coast of New Holland and the southern part of New Guinea. Milius was second in command of the Naturaliste. The expedition charted the western and southern coasts of Australia, parts of the northern and eastern coasts and the east coast of Tasmania and collected numerous natural history specimens. From 25 April to 22 July 1802 Milius was in Sydney and his journal includes descriptions of Sydney Town, Parramatta, and the Hawkesbury region, and meetings with Governor Philip Gidley King, Colonel Paterson, Matthew Flinders and the infamous George Barrington.

Includes electronic Microsoft Word versions on CD-ROM and 3.5 inch floppy disk.
