  • Scope and Content
These are mostly the files of Doug Hine and Geoff Ash. They document the so-called 'Green mess' of many regional 'Green' parties in NSW, and the first attempt, by Tony Harris, to bring them under one umbrella. Harris offered, in 1987, to allow approved parties to share the Australian Electoral Commission registration owned by the Sydney Greens of the name 'The Greens'. He thereby created a loose confederation called the Green Alliance which extended, or was at least potentially extendable, beyond NSW. Documented in these files are many episodes of activism over a wide range of local, national and international issues.
