- Scope and ContentThis picture shows Vineyard Cottage, which was located at Rydalmere near Parramatta. There is a large orange coloured driveway sweeping through the foreground, with trees and shrubs in the surrounding grassy yard, and a steeply gabled outbuilding in the background to the right. The Vineyard produced wine, corn, tobacco, and wheat, and was bought by Hannibal Hawkins Macarthur in 1813, the year after his marriage to Anna Maria, eldest daughter of the former governor, Philip Gidley King.
