  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    This limited edition folio was commissioned by Basil Hall to commemorate the 20th anniversary of ‘Desert Mob’. ‘Desert Mob’ is an initiative of Desart. It is an annual symposium, exhibition and sale to promote and celebrate Indigenous artists. Desart is the peak industry body supporting Central Australian Indigenous art centres, which are important resources run by and for Indigenous communities.

  • Scope and Content
    Published in Darwin by Basil Hall Editions, 2010. Folding clamshell box with unique Tjanpi Desert weaving set into lid. Contains 40 original, untitled, woodblock prints by Indigenous artists from 38 art centres across Australia. Prints published by Basil Hall were limited to 10 copies, and this set is number 6 of 10. The prints are accompanied by a presentation certificate of authentication with descriptive text of the project.
