    Simon Griffiths is an established commercial photographer. His garden and food photographs have been published in numerous books produced by people of note, including Kylie Kwong, Stephanie Alexander and Paul Bangay.

    Bronte House is one of the oldest houses in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, and is one of only a small number of houses designed by accomplished colonial architect Mortimer William Lewis. Over the years a number of people of note have resided at the property, including Lewis, the Lowes and Schofield.

  • Scope and Content
    36 photographic colour transparencies depicting interiors, exteriors and garden of Bronte House during the time Leo Schofield occupied the house. The photographs show the garden and document the process of planting and upkeep. A smaller number focus on the house, depicting the exterior and interior architecture, and how the rooms were decorated by Leo Schofield. Twenty-one of the photographs have been published in the book 'The garden at Bronte by Leo Schofield', 15 of the images did not appear in the publication.
