Redfern All Blacks was established in 1944 and is the longest-running Indigenous rugby league team in NSW.

Photographer Stuart Miller is a non-Indigenous photographer based in Sydney. Early career photographic awards include AIPP Portrait Photographer of the Year 2007 and Australia’s Top Photographers’ Emerging Portrait Photographer of the Year 201. Miller was also voted the top emerging advertising photographer by a panel of judges in Capture magazine in May 2013

Digital photographic portraits showing 5 senior Aboriginal men gathered at Redfern RSL prior to attending a funeral in September 2016. Stephen Ridgeway, Lyall Munro Jnr., Eric Robinson, Turei Naera and Wally Hamilton are all prominent within Redfern’s Aboriginal community and are former rugby league players with the Redfern All Blacks.
