The posters are a collaboration between New Zealand born artist Wendy Murray and Sydney-based musician and radio host Tim Gray, a Gumbaynggir man. In 2016, Murray was invited to discuss posters, street art and council policy on Tim Gray's radio show 'Social Change' on Koori Radio in Sydney. The concept for the posters "came from a conversation with Tim about his thoughts on the day, the date and a suggestion of a date change".
