    The Q Theatre company began life on the 2 December 1963 with a lunch hour production of Harold Pinter’s ‘The Dumb Waiter’ in the theatrette of the AMP Building at Circular Quay, Sydney. By 1968 the company was touring suburban and regional areas, and in 1977 the move was made to Penrith in western Sydney.

  • Scope and Content
    Records of the lunchtime theatre programme run by the Q Theatre company in Sydney, New South Wales, 1948-2007. Includes financial and administrative records, scrapbooks, clippings, programmes, scripts, posters, and production photographs. Productions include Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, Mrs Dalley Has a Lover, Salad Days, Slight Ache, and Madly in Love.
