  • Scope and Content
    This collection comprises material related to Ida Bridger's work as a music teacher. It includes ledgers containing Bridger's pupil details (lesson payments, dates, notes, c. 1924-1934, 1968-1972, 1975-1979), newspaper clippings (c. 1929-1939), address book, notes on music theory, scrapbook with correspondence from London College of Music and notes recording pupils' music marks (c. 1927-1956), an album containing inscribed photographs from Bridger's former pupils, newspaper clippings, programmes and received holiday greeting cards. Also included are Bridger's ALCM and LLCM diplomas from London College of Music (1918, 1925), issues of 'The Etude Music Magazine' (1921, 1929-1931) and a novel 'There’s a corpse in the cargo!' by Malcolm "Max" Afford (no date).

    Box 1 and 3X contain inscribed photographs from Bridger's former pupils. Box 3X also contains a gramophone record.
