Tasnim Saeid was born in 1990 in Khoramabad, Iran. The family moved to the Sudan, where she attended school for three years, before migrating to Australia. She studied law at the University of Technology, Sydney, and has since worked in the NSW Office of the Children's Guardian and as a case manager for NSW Family & Community Services.
