  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Leon Zettel was born in Poland in 1924 and came to Australia in 1947 after surviving the Warsaw ghettoes during World War II. Leon married Charlotte Hammerschmidt in 1948 and together the Zettels opened clothing stores in Sydney and worked hard for the local Jewish community.
