Augusta Sophia Quigley (1874-1972) was one of three children of William Bell Quigley and Margaret Scott Quigley, née Mitchell (sister of David Scott Mitchell).
William Bell Quigley was killed after being thrown from his horse at the family estate at Awaba Park, Teralba, 19th March 1879. Married women could not hold property of their own until 1897 and so Margaret Scott Quigley’s brother-in-law Daniel Quigley moved in to manage the property. Margaret Quigley died in November 1886 from injuries sustained when the residence was destroyed by fire a month earlier. Daniel Quigley later married Mary Violet Ferguson, daughter of David Ferguson, in 1889.
Augusta Sophia Quigley acquired the photograph albums when travelling on the continent in 1895-96 and 1898 with William J.B. Quigley and Miss Ellen Francis Ferguson
