This collection comprises the records of The Wilderness Society NSW (previously: Tasmanian Wilderness Society NSW, South-West Tasmania Committee of NSW) predominantly relating to the Franklin River campaign. It includes press files containing news clippings on the Franklin Dam project, HEC, South-West Tasmania Action Committee and other environmental matters such as forestry. There are volunteer lists and materials for the Franklin campaign, signed petitions and registration forms for site occupiers during the Franklin blockade, correspondence files (such as ministerial correspondence), reports, newsletters, Journals of the Tasmanian Wilderness Society, meeting minutes, membership records, and papers relating to a film project. The collection also contains ephemera such as flyers, brochures and stickers.
